Terms & Conditions
We look forward to welcoming you. When you make your booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Check in and check out
Check in is available from 3.00pm - 7.00pm on the day of arrival. Check-in times outside of these times must be confirmed with us prior to arrival. We can usually accommodate them with the help of a lock box.
Early check-in is generally unavailable but we always see what we can do if you contact us in advance and you can usually leave luggage with us. Checkout is 11.00am. Late checkout is not available but you can usually leave luggage with us for the day.
Prices and tax
All prices quoted via this website include taxe de sejour (tourist tax), cleaning fees and linen charges.
Cancellation
We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and then cancels.
In order for us to confirm a reservation we require a 50% deposit with the remainder taken on the day of arrival.
In the event of a cancellation up to 14 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival we will attempt to re-book the room. If we are able to do this we will return your deposit. All returned deposits will be subject to an admin fee to cover processing costs and will be returned at the end of the month you were due to stay.
If you cancel your reservation within 14 days of the scheduled date of arrival you will be charged the full reservation price. Guests failing to arrive, without notification, will be charged the full reservation price.
Cancellation by Us
Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full and we will do our best to recommend other accommodation in the local area. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.
Covid 19 and similar events
Should we be unable to host you due to lockdowns or restrictions imposed on us by the French government we will offer you a voucher that will allow you to postpone your stay to another time.
Car parking
A car park is available for guests’ use within the grounds. Cars parked here are at owners risk.
Damage and breakages
Please take care of the property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages, stains or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly.
We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.
Health and safety and antisocial behaviour
We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal activities, vandalism and rude and abusive behaviour towards us, our family and anyone working alongside us. Illegal activities, drug taking and excessive alcohol consumption will immediately be reported to the police. Rude and abusive guests will be asked to leave the Manoir and grounds with immediate effect.
No guests are permitted unless you have explicit permission and you are responsible for the behaviour of your guests at all times.
No lighting of fires is allowed and use of the bbq is only allowed in the prescribed area and only when permitted by French authorities (sometimes during drought they are prohibited).
We have a small pond/spring, please make sure all guests are aware of its location. Manoir de Saint Germain, our family and anyone working alongside us will not be liable for any injury, damage or loss of any nature, however caused (through negligence or not) suffered by you or your party whether before, during, or after your stay.
Data
Some of the data gathered during the course of a booking may be held on a computer owned by Manoir de Saint Germain or booking systems used by Manoir de Saint Germain and used to keep in touch and inform you of future availability or offers. If you would prefer us not to hold this information please let us know.
Keys
You have full responsibility for your keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at €15.00 per set.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles orpossessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.
Lost property
We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge of €20.00 to cover postage and packaging.
Missing items
We reserve the right to charge for items missing from our property. We try to include items to make it feel like home and so you have everything you need. We keep an audit of items provided in the property and we reserve the right to charge for items that are missing after your stay.
Payment
Payment is due on the morning of departure and we accept the following charge, credit and debit cards; Debit MasterCard, Delta, Electron, Maestro, MasterCard, UK Maestro, CB and Visa, as well as cash.
Pets
We are unable to accommodate pets. Please note that we have a two cats, but they are not permitted in guest rooms.
Prices
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside any part of Manoir de Saint Germain, we have a small area where smoking is permitted, away from items that might be combustible. Please note that any guests breaking these rules may be asked to leave.
Termination policy
Manoir de Saint Germain reserve the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual’s stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (please note that non-compliance of our non smoking policy may constitute termination).
In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
You acknowledge and agree that all intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, copyrights (including rights in software), trademarks, database rights, patents and inventions) in and relating to the service are owned by us and our licensors or contractors. Nothing in this agreement operates to transfer any such intellectual property rights to you.
We reserve the right to assign or sub-contract any of our rights and obligations under this agreement without notice to you.
If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.
